Meet Our Founder, Jimmy

Hi everyone! I’m Jimmy Tranchita, Founder and Owner of Lakelet Contracting. Welcome, I’m happy you’re here.

I've always been fascinated by how thoughtful remodeling can transform a space. My relentless knack for precision and innovation led me to pursue a career in facility management leadership roles, boots-on-the ground remodeling work, and high-profile home improvement projects. After 20+ years in a structured industry, I decided I wanted to serve my community from a personal trademark of hands-on involvement and tailored solutions.

The past 20+ years in a variety of roles have allowed me to develop a deep understanding of what it takes to deliver work that uniquely satisfies clients beyond the basics of material and efficient project timelines – those are table stakes. Since I built my own home in 2016 for my wife and growing family, I know the impact this kind of work has on an individual or collective group and was determined to carry that into the founding principles of my business. The Lakelet Contracting team doesn’t just build structures, we craft experiences.

With meticulous craftsmanship and heartfelt dedication, we serve residential and commercial clients in the Mt. Vernon and Tri-State area offering services like general, kitchen, bathroom, and outdoor remodels. No project is too challenging for us; we’re driven by taking high-level concepts from any source of inspiration to a finished product that reflects your vision and functionality for years to come. Alongside the expertise of my evolving team, I believe in working closely with our clients to ensure every detail is perfect, and that’s why I’ll be with you every step of the way from quote to last sweep.

Developing spaces that cultivate memorable experiences is an approach I carry not only throughout my business, but especially in my personal life. When I’m not working, my wife Abby and I, and our two kids, Cami and Jack, like to live an active lifestyle, working on our water-skiing skills for the upcoming tournament, or setting off for the next camping adventure in our RV. This time with family keeps me grounded and inspired, reinforcing the foundational values that guide my business.
